Listed on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX), Ardiden Ltd. is a boutique explorer exclusively focused on developing Canadian mining assets.
Headquartered in Perth, Western Australia, the company has established an in-country presence through its Thunder Bay subsidiary, Ardiden Canada Ltd. Local resident and experienced geologist Daniel Grabiec is at the forefront of executing the company’s exploration objectives.
Why has Ardiden chosen to explore in Canada rather than in Australia? The company considers the vast wilderness of Canada as an exhilarating opportunity. For starters, the geology is outstanding with examples of just about every type of mineral deposit you can imagine. Furthermore, this tier-one mining location has large underexplored areas and ground available to stake.
Over the last three years, Ardiden has assembled a portfolio of lithium and gold projects. Notably, all projects have known mineralization (spodumene in the case of the lithium projects, high-grade gold in the prospects of the gold project) and are at varying stages of development, as described below.
[please put information below as a table]
Seymour Lake Lithium Project
- Defined Mineral Resource of 4.80Mt @ 1.25 per cent Li2O and 186ppm Ta2O5
- Significant exploration upside with defined targets
- Excellent metallurgy results
- Early-stage exploration has confirmed that large, spodumene-rich pegmatites are present in both projects
- Excellent exploration potential
Pickle Lake Gold Project
- High quality prospects
- Excellent drilling results
- Large historical mines nearby, such as Pickle Crow; past production: 1.45M oz Au @ 16.1g/t Au
Although the Seymour Lake Lithium Project is Ardiden’s most advanced project, the company has decided to defer further exploration of it (and of its other lithium projects) until it secures a partner to assist with further development, and the price of spodumene concentrate improves. In the near-term, Ardiden will focus on its Pickle Lake Gold Project.
The initial focus of exploration in the gold project will be the Kasagaminnis Gold Prospect, which is located on land used by the Mishkeegogamang people. Consequently, following recent consultations with the Mishkeegogamang First Nation, the company intends to collaborate on an ongoing basis as it recognises the importance of the Mishkeegogamang’s assistance in exploring and developing this exciting prospect.
Ardiden is looking forward to commencing drilling when ground conditions and environmental factors permit. The company is optimistic that excellent results will ensue. After all, if RNC Minerals, a Canadian company, can have success in Australia with the famous Beta Hunt gold deposit in Western Australia, it is not unreasonable for Aussie Ardiden to have success at Kasagaminnis in Canada.
